Yes, you still have to pay the rent, provided they occupy the premises. I have no idea why think a tenant of May, they are exempt from the payment of rent due to the situation of this kind. If the contract are not legally registered tenants, you can still legally a month by month, and the laws of your lease are governed by the statutes of the state where you live. They are the new owner when it occurs, be sent, and advises those who pay rent.

After the sale, have a new owner.

No known law everywhere, but here is what is happening in Texas:
1 - If you have a lease and not yet complete, is the new owner up to 90 days to leave. You pay a rent to stay for that day.

2 - If you have not signed the lease or rental agreement is completed and since then only 30 days left to announce in advance. You pay rent for the duration of your stay.

If you decide to wait just a squatter, and not pay the rent and, until they are deported, you will find it difficult to better quality .... rent
